Abstract
The article by Valérie-Anne Mahéo-Le Luel helps advance knowledge in fields including communications, social psychology and those related to political behaviour. It examines the impact of information campaigns and new technologies on democratic participation and could lead to a range of social benefits. Valérie-Anne Mahéo-Le Luel’s findings were presented to Elections Canada and the Directeur général des élections du Québec to contribute to their reflection on their mission to inform and educate citizens and provide the agencies with recommendations to develop and disseminate tools for citizens.
