Title: On the Origins of Political Sophistication : Democracy in Diapers
Alexandre is working on the development of political sophistication. He is particularly interested in the effects of education, personality traits, cognitive skills and political interest in this development. He also examines the effects of political campaigns on the public's political knowledge level.
Alexandre is recipient of a Joseph-Armand Bombardier CGS Doctoral Scholarship from the Social science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). He also won the award for best paper at the CSDC student conference in 2013 for his paper Le développement de la connaissance politique. During his master degree, Alexandre also won a PHARE scholarship awarded by the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQÀM).
