The Steering Committee is composed of one Full Member from each of the partner universities, the Center manager, and is chaired by the Director. The Director serves as the representative from her/his respective university. The Centre manager serves as a non-voting member of the Steering Committee. Steering Committee Members are selected for a term of three years, which may be renewed for up to one term.
The main tasks of the Steering Committee are to decide budgetary and other resource allocations, to adjudicate all funding competitions, to make hiring decisions with respect to full-time Centre staff, and to provide ongoing oversight of the Centre’s activities. The Steering Committee is also responsible for naming members to chair committees that are created to carry out the Centre’s activities or otherwise advance its mission.
