for L’École interdisciplinaire outils & méthodes (ÉIOM) 2025

NEW GUIDELINES

Deadline: August 15, 2025

Introduction:

One of the CSDC’s central missions is the support of research method training for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows.

Since the Summer of 2021, the CSDC has partnered with L’École interdisciplinaire outils & méthodes (ÉIOM). The ÉIOM is an initiative of Yannick Dufresne, the Chair of Leadership in teaching of digital social sciences (CLESSN)) and the Graduate School of International Studies (ESEI) at the Université Laval.

The ÉIOM is the largest French-speaking school dedicated to empirical research methods. The 5th edition of the School will be held from August 25 to 29, 2025, in Quebec City.

The EIOM offers five distinct methodology courses:

  1. Méthodes mixtes;
  2. Science des données
  3. Analyse causale et expérimentation
  4. Le cas: méthodes et inférence
  5. Les outils et les méthodes dans le processus scientifique (mise à niveau)

For additional information on the EIOM consult: https://eiom.ca/

The CSDC offers scholarships awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.

 All applicants are strongly advised to carefully read and follow the instructions and requirements outlined in the Guidelines.

Notification of Award:

Successful candidates will be informed by email specifying the amount and conditions of the scholarship. A copy of this email will be sent to the candidate’s supervisor.

Unsuccessful applicants will be notified by email. It should be recognized that the CSDC has a limited amount of funds and, although applications may have merit, there may not be sufficient funds to award all such applications.
