My research focuses on populism and its various facets. I am particularly interested in how populist discourse constructs an alternative truth based on "the people," while also exploring the links between populism, disinformation, polarization, and political engagement. I am also interested in the place of the environment and climate change in political party discourse. My dissertation specifically analyzed how political orientation influences the presence and variation of populist attributes in political discourse.
