CSDC Graduate Students Conference 2017

March 31 and April 1st, 2017

The Clarendon Hotel, Quebec City

The Centre for the Study of Democratic Citizenship (CSDC) hosted its Annual Graduate Student Conference on March 31 and April 1, 2017, in Quebec City. For the first time in its history, the Centre wished to invite student members who were not presenting to take part in the eighth edition of the Conference.

Not only did the event allow students to attend and participate in excellent presentations made by their peers, but was also an opportunity to get to know colleagues who share the same interests and are active in various universities within diverse disciplines.

The conference was open to students from all universities in all disciplines that share an interest in one of the Centre’s research areas. There was no registration fee. Moreover, for this new edition, the conference organizing committee awarded the author(s) of the two best presentation a cash price.

Congratulations to this year’s winners Philippe and Grégoire!

Grégoire Saint-Martin-Audet won the prize for the best presentation by a master’s student, worth 250$.

Philippe Duguay was awarded the best presentation by a PhD student or post-doctoral fellow, worth 500$.
