Title: Les perceptions des jeunes (18-24 ans) qui ne se sentent pas concernés par la politique sur les acteurs politiques, les institutions politiques et la démocratie
Christopher is a doctoral student in the field of political sociology under the supervision of Professor Thierry Giasson. Is there a real democratic decline as it is customary to report in the major influential media or in the speeches of certain intellectuals? If so, how could we qualify it and observe its manifestation, particularly among the younger generations? If not, what misleads the analyses of intellectuals to believe in such a democratic decline? It is at the crossroads of these questions that the subject to which our student devotes himself emerges. Christopher also collaborates with the Groupe de recherche en communication politique (GRCP), of which he is the coordinator, as well as the Centre pour l’étude de la citoyennée démocratique (CECD).

During his master’s degree, Christopher was interested in the perceptions of young people who do not feel concerned by politics through an innovative research technique in political science: photovoice. This technique invites the use of photographic images to fuel interviews with people participating in the research.
