Through quantitative content analysis and critical discourse analysis, this thesis provides an overview of the dominant discourses on fashion and textiles in government and institutional communications, as well as in the mainstream media. Fashion is examined here as a system with various dimensions (including environmental, economic, cultural, and social) that is positioned within the framework of the cultural and creative industries.
