As such, the grant contributes to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Facilitate research related to a thesis, dissertation or postdoctoral fellowship;<\/li>\n<li>Implement ideas for knowledge mobilization linked to research;<\/li>\n<li>Develop collaborations between two (or more) students or postdoctoral researchers from different universities or disciplines, related to the CSDC\u2019s research axes, and who are not eligible for funding from other sources.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Research projects must be related to <a href=\"https:\/\/csdc-cecd.ca\/en\/programme-et-axes-de-recherche\/\">the CSDC\u2019s research priorities<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Eligibility<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>To be eligible for the research grant, applicants must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be enrolled full-time in a Master\u2019s, PhD or postdoctoral fellowship programme at the time of the grant application, the use of funds AND the reimbursement;<\/li>\n<li>Be a member of the CSDC;<\/li>\n<li>Submit a complete and up-to-date student profile on the CSDC website.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Priority will be given to first-time applicants.<\/p>\n<p>Under no circumstances may grants be paid after a candidate has graduated or withdrawn from the study programme.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Grant amount<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Maximum $2,500<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Application deadline<\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<p>There are three (3) calls for applications per year, with deadlines in October, February and May.<\/p>\n<p>The call for applications is currently open, and the deadline is 1 October 2026.<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"color: #333333; font-family: 'Noto Serif', Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 18px;\"><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"color: #333333; font-family: 'Noto Serif', Georgia, 'Times New Roman', serif; font-size: 18px;\">Application pack<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A complete application pack comprises the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.cloud.microsoft\/Pages\/ResponsePage.aspx?id=1Yt3Vj9q00uiZZMWPk1b_lklRFJLEAZCqhyLZGtNlXtUOVBQNlNIRlgyVFRINDNYVkNZWUZUWEYzVS4u\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Application Form<\/span><\/a><\/li>\n<li>Description of the research project, including a project timeline<\/li>\n<li>Detailed budget (income and expenditure), including any funding from other organisations<\/li>\n<li>Curriculum vitae<\/li>\n<li>Letter of recommendation from the research supervisor<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The application form must be completed online. The other documents must be sent by email, before the deadline, to: cecd-csdc@ulaval.ca, stating the applicant\u2019s name in the subject line.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong><\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>Incomplete applications<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>To ensure fairness to all applicants, any application that is incomplete or does not meet the stated criteria will be rejected.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Assessment process<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Grants are awarded on a competitive basis. Applications are assessed by the CSDC Steering Committee according to the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevance of the project: knowledge production, methodology, alignment with the CSDC\u2019s research axes<\/li>\n<li>Relevance and justification of the budget<\/li>\n<li>Realistic implementation timetable<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Notification<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>All applicants will be informed of the Steering Committee\u2019s decision by email within 30 days of the submission deadline, with a copy sent to their research supervisor. For successful applications, the notification will include the amount awarded and the conditions for using the grant.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Reimbursement Process<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">T<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">he grant is paid in the form of reimbursement of eligible actual expenses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Furthermore, the grant must be used for the project originally approved by the Steering Committee and within twelve (12) months of the award decision. Beyond this period, an extension m<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">ust be requested and approved by the Steering Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Claims for reimbursement must be submitted to the CSDC within four (4) weeks of the end of the activity for which the grant was awarded, using the form provided. They must include a detailed list of expenses and all supporting documents.
