It is meant to nurture the interest and develop the potential of an undergraduate student for research. It is also meant to encourage the student to undertake graduate studies by providing research work experience that complements their studies.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Student eligibility<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To be eligible, the student:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>must be registered in a bachelor\u2019s degree program at the time of the application,<\/li>\n<li>cannot be currently registered or have been previously registered in a graduate program.<span style=\"text-decoration: line-through;\"><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p dir=\"ltr\" class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span><i>However, priority will be given to applications for students who have not been funded by an Undergraduate Student\u00a0 Research Initiation Internship in previous years.<\/i><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Deadline for applications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>March 31, 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Period of use of the grant<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>May 1st through August 31st, 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Value of the grant<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The CSDC contribution is\u00a0up to 2000$.<\/li>\n<li>The CSDC contribution will be transferred to the university of the CSDC faculty supervisor.<\/li>\n<li>The supervisor is required as a minimum to match the CSDC contribution.<\/li>\n<li>The student can receive these amounts either as a salary or a stipend.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To apply, the CSDC faculty member must submit:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The student\u2019s CV.<\/li>\n<li>The student\u2019s university transcripts.<\/li>\n<li>A plan that outlines how the undergraduate student will be integrated into the CSDC faculty member\u2019s research program and how the student\u2019s interest and abilities for research will be fostered (maximum: 1 page).<\/li>\n<li>A budget (including the number of hours).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Please submit your application containing all the necessary elements by email to<span>\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"mailto:cecd-csdc@ulaval.ca\">cecd-csdc@ulaval.ca<\/a><\/strong><a href=\"mailto:cecd-csdc@ulaval.ca\"><strong><\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Funding and tenure:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maximum 2000$.<\/li>\n<li>The grant will be transferred to the university where the CSDC faculty member is located and must be used for the student originally approved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Assessment of applications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Applications are reviewed by the CSDC Steering Committee.
