Abstract:In this study we suggest a conceptionalization of different measures of political support that are used in comparative politics, and our main focus is how to measure different aspects of citizens evaluation with the electoral process. The study has three distinctive objectives. The first is to distinguish the concept of satisfaction with the electoral process from other similar concepts employed in comparative politics. The second objective is to clarify what the concept of satisfaction with the electoral process stands for and to elaborate and explain different subcategories of the concept. The final objective is to outline a model in which we show how different measures of voters’ satisfaction with the electoral process can be used in empirical research.
