CSDC Summer Scholarships for L’École interdisciplinaire outils & méthodes 2021

NEW GUIDELINES

Deadline: TBD

Introduction:

One of the CSDC’s central missions is the support of research method training for graduate students and post-doctoral fellows. Indeed, in 2021 the CSDC received 10 applications in its March 2021 competition and awarded 10 Methods Grants totalling $ 21,000.

For the Summer of 2021, the CSDC has concluded a new partnership with the new L’École interdisciplinaire outils & méthodes (EIOM). The EIOM is an initiative of Yannick Dufresne, the Chair of Leadership in teaching of digital social sciences (CLESSN)) and the Graduate School of International Studies (ESEI)at the Université Laval.

The EIOM is the largest French-speaking summer school dedicated to empirical research methods. The 1st edition of the School will be held from August 16 to 26, 2021 in a virtual manner and offers three courses with distinct methodologies:

  1. Terrain et études de cas comparatives ;
  2. Modélisation et prédiction ;
  3. Causalité et expérimentation

For additional information on the EIOM consult: https://eiom.ca/

The CSDC offers around ten scholarships of a maximum of $ 500 each. The scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.

All graduate and post-doctoral student members can apply.

All applicants are strongly advised to carefully read and follow the instructions and requirements outlined in the Guidelines.
