Application Process for Regular Members
Applications are accepted twice a year, following this schedule:

Applications must be submitted to cecd-csdc@ulaval.ca.
Application documentation
- A letter of application written by the prospective member outlining contributions to the CSDC’s research areas and collaborations (past, present, and future) with CSDC members.
- The applicant’s academic curriculum vitae (maximum 10 pages).
- Letters of support for the application written and signed by at least three (3) CSDC members from two (2) distinct partner institutions.
Essential selection criteria
- Excellence of the applicant’s body of work (quality of publications, secured research funding, graduate student supervision).
- Proven past or ongoing collaborations between the applicant and active CSDC members.
Priority criteria
- Priority will be given to applicants that contribute to the CSDC’s interdisciplinary nature.
- Priority will be given to applicants that contribute to the CSDC’s interregional nature.
- Priority will be given to applications from scholars at an early career stage.
- Priority will be given to applications from scholars who do not hold affiliations with other FRQ’s strategic clusters.
Selection of application
Decisions are made by the CSDC Steering Committee. Successful applicants must receive a majority vote from the members attending the meeting.
