Angelia Wagner's postdoctoral research project focuses on determining what role women and men’s potentially differing attitudes toward a career in politics play in the candidate emergence process at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels in Canada. The goal is to identify the factors that encourage and discourage women from becoming candidates. In addition to gender and politics, Wagner's research interests include political communication, Canadian politics, and municipal politics.
