About: Aaron Erlich is Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at McGill University, wherehe is a membre of the CSDC and a founding member of the Centre for Social and Cultural Data Science (CSCDS). He completed his Ph.D. at the University of Washington in Seattle. Broadly speaking, Prof. Erlich is interested in democratization and democratic development. Much of his research addresses the role that information plays in developing democratic polities.
Last year, Prof. Erlich published a paper examining the ongoing efficacy of the Kremlin’s disinformation campaigns in Ukraine and has another forthcoming that considers possible cognitive strategies to counter them. He was interviewed in La Presse + and Canada Land.
